Baja fish tacos

Flaky fish, crisp slaw, lime crema on corn.

Ingredients

  • 1 lbWhite fish fillets, such as cod or tilapia
  • 8Corn tortillas, warmed
  • 2 cupsGreen cabbage, shredded
  • 2Lime
  • 1/3 cupSour cream
  • 2 tbspMayonnaise
  • 1 tspChili powder
  • 1 tspGround cumin
  • 1/4 cupCilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbspOlive oil
  • Salt

Method

    Stir the sour cream, mayonnaise, the juice of half a lime, and a pinch of salt together.

    Toss the cabbage with the juice of half a lime, the cilantro, and a pinch of salt.

    Pat the fish dry and rub with the chili powder, cumin, salt, and oil.

    Sear the fish in a hot skillet until opaque and flaking, about 3 minutes per side, then break into chunks.

    Fill the warm tortillas with fish, slaw, and crema. Serve with lime wedges.
